Larry Price

Born in Chicago, Larry Price lives in Jerusalem and has been working as a journalist and filmmaker in Israel for over 30 years. He was a print journalist before joining the Israel Broadcasting Authority’s English language radio program. Larry Price was the first anchorman on Israel’s IBA English News. His early documentary “The Jews of Greece,” produced for the Israel Broadcasting Authority's Channel 1, is still available for viewing in the archives of the Diaspora Museum.
He established his own production company in 1981 and produced hundreds of films for non-profit organizations. He produced programs for PBS and NBC, and his films include “Talking with David Frost” for the BBC, “The Secret Scrolls” for the Discovery Channel, and
the three-part series “The Gates of Jerusalem,” for The Learning Channel/Discovery Channel.
In 2010, he produced “Hitler’s Jewish Soldiers" for Israel TV, Israel's public television channel,
a documentary that was broadcast in over a dozen countries around the world. In 2012, he produced and directed “The Rabbi and the German Officer,” for Israel TV. In 2013, he co-produced and co-directed, with award-winning filmmaker Alan Rosenthal, “Married to the Marimba,” a one-hour documentary about an American-born Jewish street musician who performs mainly in Germany. In 2015, he produced “Rescue Train,” for Israel TV's Channel 2 Reshet Prime commercial station that garnered over 1,000,000 viewers on Holocaust Memorial Day, April 15, 2015.
2019 The latest film is "Toman: Knave or Hero." A one-hour documentary about the refugees in 1946 who were allowed to flee dangerous Poland for the West through the help of the JDC and Zoltan Toman, the Czech deputy-minister of the interior.
